Baigorri Finca La Canoca Red wine
Baigorri Finca La Canoca is a red wine made from Tempranillo grapes from vines planted in 1960. The estate is located at an altitude of about 640 m in the foothills of the Sierra de Toloño, with a north-south orientation and clay-calcareous soil. It is made in closed 225-litre barrels in an artisanal way with the grapes destemmed and in whole grains, using carbonic snow to develop an intercellular maceration as long as possible. During alcoholic fermentation, which lasts 30 days, it is punched down manually. It then goes to new French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation at 20 degrees.
Intense ruby wine with aromas of ripe fruits and spices. On the palate, its balance and freshness are surprising. It stands out for its unctuousness and its unique style, with great potential throughout its extension and very marked by the terroir that makes it incomparable in the area of La Canoca.
