Aalto PS. Doble Magnum - 3 L. Red wine
Aalto PS. Double Magnum
Origin of the grape: 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) of those payments that stand out for their exceptional maturation, balance and concentration characteristics. In this great vintage we have selected very old majuelos aged between 60 and 90 years from La Horra and La Aguilera and, for the first time, we have included a small batch from our Piñel de Abajo vineyards.
As usual in our winery, everything is harvested by hand, in small boxes of 15 kilos and, after being quickly transferred to the winery, thoroughly inspected, bunch by bunch, on a sorting table.
Barrel ageing: Average ageing of 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
Very intense purple colour. On the nose it is very complex, with subtle notes of licorice, noble woods, spices, toasted bread, black fruits and tobacco, although it is still a little closed. The aromas will develop opening throughout their evolution in the bottle. On the palate it is very structured, with abundant tannins and density but presenting a finesse and elegance typical of a great vintage. The aging in wood has brought depth to the wine, without overlapping with the typical freshness and fruit of Tempranillo, in a balanced set in which a good acidity is also integrated. It is a long and harmonious wine that, although it can be drunk now, will improve with the years of bottle gained in structure and complexity.
