Aalto PS Magnum Red wine

Aalto PS is 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) mostly from very old vines - aged between 40 and 80 years - from our vineyards in seven different villages in the Ribera del Duero in Burgos, as well as the youngest grapes from our own vineyards in two villages in the province of Valladolid.

As always, we harvest by hand in small 15-kilo boxes and thoroughly inspect, cluster by cluster, at the selection table.

Barrel aging: Average aging of 16 months in 50% new French and American oak barrels.

Dark purple color. On the nose it has a great fruit intensity along with the aromas of wood in the background, giving it complexity but without detracting from freshness. On the palate it is broad, structured and elegant as befits an exceptional maturation, without edges and with a tannic structure in perfect harmony with alcohol and acidity. The typical flavours of Tempranillo are perceived, such as liquorice and black fruits, as well as the roasted spices and tobacco provided by an impeccable ageing in wood. This wine is long-aged and will gain complexity over the years.
