100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) mostly from very old vines - ages ranging between 40 and 80 years - from our vineyards in seven villages of the Ribera del Duero burgalesa, as well as the young grapes from our own vineyards in two villages in the province of Valladolid.
As always, we harvest by hand in small boxes of 15 kilos and carefully inspect cluster to cluster, in the selection table.
Barrel aging: Aging average 16 months in 50% new French and American oak barrels.
Dark purple. On the nose it presents great fruit intensity along with the aromas of wood in the background, giving it complexity but not subtract freshness. In the mouth is broad, structured and elegant as befits an exceptional maturation, without edges and with a tannic structure in perfect harmony with the alcohol and acidity. They perceive the typical flavors of the Tempranillo, licorice and black fruit, as well as the roasted coffee, spices and tobacco by an impeccable breeding wood. This wine is of long guard and you will gain complexity with age.
