Aalto Magnum
Aalto Magnum 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) mostly from very old vines - aged between 40 and 80 years - from our vineyards in seven different villages in the Ribera del Duero region of Burgos, as well as the youngest grapes from our own vineyards in two villages in the province of Valladolid.
As always, we harvest by hand in small boxes of 15 kilos and thoroughly inspect, cluster by cluster, on the sorting table.
Barrel ageing: Average ageing of 16 months in 50% new French and American oak barrels.
Dark purple color. On the nose it has a great fruity intensity along with the aromas of wood in the background, giving it complexity but without detracting from freshness. On the palate it is broad, structured and elegant as befits an exceptional ripening, without edges and with a tannic structure in perfect harmony with alcohol and acidity. The typical flavours of Tempranillo are perceived, such as licorice and black fruits, as well as roasts, spices and tobacco provided by an impeccable ageing in wood. This wine is long-lasting and will become more complex over the years.
