Zárate Tras da Viña White wine
The Pago Tras Da Viña is a plot of vines of the Albariño variety of 0.6 ha of surface with south orientation. This plot was replanted in 1965 grafting buds of the Palomar farm into rootstocks 196-17-C. Pago Tras Da Viña has a high yield due to its deep soil rich in organic material.
The harvest is manual and a selection of grapes is made on the plot. The must ferments spontaneously in a steel tank and is racked after fermentation, separating it from its thick lees and remaining on fine lees for 24 months without batônnage. It is a wine that does not perform malolactic fermentation. The graduation of malic acid allows the wine to mature in the bottle, reaching its full potential in 5 years. The terrain is perfectly expressed in its granite nose, and the complexity of the fine lees, give this wine a totally unique character in Rías Baixas.
VISTA: a golden yellow wine, very clean and bright.
AROMA: in the nose the granite of its soils is reflected, providing minerality. Very expressive and complex with floral and white fruit notes.
TASTE: the minerality we see in the nose reappears in the mouth. It is a fresh and elegant albariño with a very good acidity and with citrus and saline touches.
