Viña Tondonia Blanco White wine
Viña Tondonia Blanco Reserva 2013 is a remarkable white wine crafted from a blend of Viura and Malvasía grapes, hailing from the esteemed R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia winery. With a classification of Reserva, this wine reflects the dedication and meticulous care put into its production. The 2013 vintage was classified as GOOD by the Rioja Regulatory Council, despite the challenges posed by two frosts in late March and early April. The year yielded an abundant harvest, resulting in wines of exceptional quality.
The white grape varieties were harvested starting on September 28, with the picking process extending until November 5, due to the irregular ripening influenced by the climate. This careful and patient approach allowed the grapes to develop the health and finesse that is characteristic of all Viña Tondonia wines. The wine matured for six years in oak barrels, undergoing two rackings each year, and was clarified using fresh egg whites before being bottled without filtration in 75 cl bottles.
Viña Tondonia Blanco Reserva features a naturally developed amber color, with a fine and complex nose that beautifully evolves while still evoking fruit notes. On the palate, it delivers a smooth, consistent, and refined experience, culminating in a well-rounded taste that speaks to its aging process. This wine pairs exquisitely with a variety of dishes, including cooked, fried, or grilled fish, grilled seafood, and white meats served with rich sauces. Experience the elegance and depth of Viña Tondonia Blanco Reserva 2013, a true testament to the artistry of Spanish winemaking.
