Solar de Becquer Red wine
Grapes from the Cuesta la Reina estate, a sun-facing hillside with poor soils where the family has been cultivating the vineyard for four generations. A place from which very fine and elegant wines are obtained, such as this Solar de Becquer Crianza, capable of expressing all the character of the land in which it is grown. After meticulous monitoring of the vineyard, the grapes are harvested at the optimum moment of ripeness. The harvest is done manually, selecting healthy and ripe grapes, rejecting raw and deteriorated ones.
Fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks and with native yeast. Once fermented is finished, it is macerated for at least 10 days. The aging is done in American oak barrels with an average age of 5 years and remains in them for at least 14 months. During this time, three rackings are made. Once clean, the wine is bottled, remaining in the bottle before being released to the market for at least 6 months.
Bright ruby red color. Clean and complex on the nose, aromas of fruit well combined with tones of fine oak wood that stand out remarkably. Good structure in the mouth, balanced and tasty. With great character and long persistence. Complex and elegant retro-nasal route, with quality wood aromas.
A good wine to accompany semi-cured sheep's cheeses, red beef, roasts and stews. Big and small game hunting.
