Rosario Vera Red wine
Rosario Vera is the new winery in the Rioja of the Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares Group. With several plots in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, acquired in 2016, the Juan Gil Group lands in Rioja, a project developed for years, which sees the light vinifying its first vintage in the same year. Rosario Vera is a wine made from Tempranillo from different vineyards between 15 and 60 years old, located in the municipality of Laguardia, on limestone soils rich in clay. Once the grapes have been harvested, each plot ferments separately in stainless steel tanks for 15 days, with temperature control (maximum 27oC). Once the cupage has been obtained with the best plots, it undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels where it remains for 10 months. Rosario Vera is a deep, complex and elegant wine. This first vintage stands out for its balance between maturity and freshness. Aromas of ripe red fruit with toasted flashes of aging. On the palate it is juicy at the outing, with a good mid palate and a long and pleasant finish. Roasted, round beef, cured cheeses, cold cuts, stews
