Rodriguez & Sanzo - Blanco Bajo Velo White wine
Rodriguez & Sanzo is an exquisite wine from the historic vineyards of Segovia, situated at an elevation of 900 meters above sea level on gravel and sandy soils. This 2022 vintage, with an alcohol content of 13.5%, is crafted from the Verdejo grape, known for its vibrant characteristics and refreshing profile.
The winemaking process begins with maceration in a tank, followed by fermentation and aging in traditional sherry casks. Part of the wine undergoes biological aging for a minimum of 10 months. These sherry casks have been previously used for biological aging of sherry wines, allowing them to retain the unique veil that perfectly integrates into our Verdejo. This careful process contributes to the wine's distinct mineral-saline character, influenced by the soils and maritime conditions.
The wine boasts a beautiful straw-yellow color, presenting aromatic notes of ripe fruits, nuts, and white flowers, complemented by a saline touch. On the palate, it offers a structured yet creamy and fresh experience, with a mineral aftertaste that encourages another sip.
