Remírez de Ganuza Red wine

Remírez de Ganuza Gran Reserva was first made in 1994 and is only made in exceptional years. It is a collector's wine.

Manual selection of grapes at the table and separation of shoulders and tips of tempranillo bunches. This wine is made from destemmed shoulders.

The varietals are tempranillo, graciano and white grape skins.

Aging: about three years in 225-litre barrels, mainly new French oak.

Purple\/black with a surreal bouquet of perverted aromas of spices, truffles, minerals and black fruits, on the palate it is remarkably powerful, but elegant. Abundant mouth, complex and surprisingly rich, it has the balance to evolve over 15 to 20 years and should easily have a shelf life of 50 years.
