Prado Rey Origen Red wine
Pradorey Origen is a coupage of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that has gone through different stages in the last two decades: in its first vintage, in 1997, it was characterized by its long aging in oak barrels that gave it a woody touch and made it somewhat easier to drink than the traditional vintage wines of the area, but with a certain complexity. This continued until 2015, when we focused our attention on the terroir and reduced our barrel ageing to three months, giving way to the elegance and primacy of the fruit over the wood. And finally, Origin.Having reduced its aging in oak barrels for another month and then rested in clay jars, we achieved an earthy and mineral touch that conveys kindness and complexity rather than power and rusticity. The result is a tasty, subtle and very drinkable red, appreciated for its vitality, balance and consistency
Colour: Purple red with bluish trim.
Nose: Fresh notes of red and dark fruits, such as blackberries and cherries, and balsamic hints of vanilla.
Mouth: Balanced, with soft and pleasant tannins. A round and unctuous wine. Interesting set of spicy notes with an aftertaste of berries.
Ideal to accompany dishes of red meats, game and roasts, being able to accompany other dishes such as sausages, Iberians and blue fish. It can also be taken pre-meal for its kindness and subtlety.
