Hacienda Solano Viñas Viejas Red wine
This wine owes its name to the selection of vineyards chosen for its production, all with an average age of 70 years. It is a red with a profile that will fit very well in the tastes of the most orthodox fans of the standards of the Ribera del Duero, with a good balance between the notes of red fruit and the aromas from barrel ageing.
The harvest is manual, in boxes of 12 kg and with a selection of grapes in the vineyard. Each plot is vinified separately. Before fermentation they undergo a cold maceration, 8-10°C for 24-36 hours. Alcoholic fermentation is in stainless steel tanks with temperature control for 11-13 days with slight pumping and soft pigeage. After fermentation, the skins remain in contact with the wine, macerating for 5-8 days. The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels and 4 months in storage.
