The Castro de Valtuille Mencía Joven 2012 is a wine made by Mencía grape 100% by Raúl Pérez at Bodegas Castro Ventosa. The red Mencía El Castro de Valtuille Joven 2013 vinifies in stainless steel tanks and expands its range of nuances aging, only a part of it, in wooden tubs. It is bottled without being filtered or stabilized.

Nice cherry color, intense and bright. Granatose edges. Glyceric tear. On the nose it is powerful and fresh, very intense and complex. Lots of black fruit (initially fresh to go ripe) accompanied by many floral and spicy notes. Touches of coffee, smoked, fresh balsamic and light hints of black olive and pepper. In the mouth it is very wide and voluminous, which wraps the mouth with fruity and smoky sensations, full of nuances. It has a very tasty, soft and silky step. Correct acidity that provides a pleasant freshness. Good ending with good persistence. A very sweet wine, very rich. Enveloping and round.

Grilled red meats, roasted red meats, civet, big game, cured cheeses, acorn-fed Iberian ham.
