Dominio de Tares Cepas Viejas Red wine
Dominio de Tares Cepas Viejas is the best example of the wine richness of Bierzo. Its name honours the vineyards from which it comes, with more than 60 years and up to 700 metres of altitude, on decomposed slate soils. For two decades, Cepas Viejas has been a prestigious brand that elegantly expresses the enormous potential of Mencía and the winery's know-how.
Very intense cherry colour, with a high layer. Intense nose tasting. Aromas of leather accompany the fruit, especially forest fruit in jam. A certain minerality with a touch of toasted and spicy notes, it has a very wide and friendly entry, a palate full of fruit, spices and chocolates. Excellent acidity that rounds off the wine. Good minerality. Ripe and round tannins. Long and persistent finish. A sweet, delicate and elegant wine.
