Tionio Edición Especial Red wine

Tionio Crianza is a 100% Tinta Fina monovarietal, where first of all the bunches come from a very special vineyard of the DO Ribera del Duero. Tionio wine comes from La Asperilla, a farm owned by Bodegas Tionio; at an altitude of 800 metres in Peñafiel, planted in 1994 on limestone and gravelly soils.

After a manual harvest in small boxes, the bunches were fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. At the end, this 2015 Tionio red wine rests for 15 months in second-year French oak barrels.

Nose: red fruits stand out aromatically, finding wild berries, sour strawberries and fresh raspberries. It also shows us floral notes, herbaceous souvenirs, freshly ground pepper, balsamic touches and spicy notes on a very elegant toasted background

Mouth: good entry in the mouth, fresh and voluminous, with a tasty, fleshy and wide step. Its tannins are ripe and drying and its acidity vibrant, accompanying us until the end of the drink and caressing our gums. Long and persistent, leaving us with a good fruity character on elegant notes of retronasal aging.

Grilled meats, roasted lamb, sirloin and also suitable for Iberian sausages and cured cheeses.
