Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial is the first wine from Abadía Retuerta, in which the best vintage wines that come from vinification are selected and mixed separately from the 54 payments in which the winery's vineyard has been classified. It is mainly made with the native variety of the Douro Valley, Tempranillo, and is complemented by other varieties of the farm that are chosen for tasting. The purpose is to balance the particularities of the vintage and preserve the style that characterizes this wine.

Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial is a faithful reflection of the vintage, the terroir and the personality of Abadía Retuerta.

Made from a selection of the best grapes from all the plots, the Special Selection has become the most representative wine of the Abbey and the one that has received the most and best awards. A wine full of youth, intense in sight and on the nose, which we recommend decanting a few minutes before consumption in order to fully enjoy it.
