Reto

Reto is a white wine from the D.O. Manchuela, produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Ponce. This winery is located in the municipality of Iniesta southeast of Cuenca, at the eastern end of Castilla La Mancha.

The winery is the result of a family project headed by Juan Antonio Ponce, whose main purpose is to publicize the virtues of the varieties originating in Manchuela: Bobal, Moravia Agria and Albilla; very unknown in the wine world but that little by little are taking more name in the national panorama.

Reto is made with the Albilla variety from very old vines at 700 meters of altitude. The grapes are pressed and the must ferments in barrels of 600 liters and does not perform the malolactic. They are racked in barrels of 600 liters and 4500 liters with their fine lees.

Reto is a vibrant and fresh white wine with good aging power.
