Pintia Red wine
Pintia was born with a young, intense and groundbreaking spirit... the independent character of the Vega Sicilia family.
Proud of its origin, it has been able to reinterpret Vega Sicilia culture in a daring, courageous and innovative way. Leading the emergence of a new generation of Toro wines.
As in all Vega Sicilia TEMPOS wines, the harvest is carried out manually in 12 kg boxes and the grapes, once in the cellar, pass through the cold room for 12 hours in order to preserve the fruit intensity.
Apart from the selection made in the vineyard, a double selection is made in the winery. The first eliminated those clusters that have been misled from the field and the second affects the defective berries that are found in optimal clusters. Cold maceration is carried out for 5 days before fermentation in oak vats.
Malolactic fermentation is carried out in 100% wood. Subsequently, its passage through wood is divided between French and American oak for 12 months. Pintia 2019 is energetic, spacious, burly, but at the same time silky. It has undoubtedly been an important job to tame it but we are proud of the result.
This wine is currently suitable for drinking, but has a potential of 15 years if kept in optimal conditions: 12-14 ºC and 60% relative humidity.
