La Clave Mencía Red wine

The Clave Mencía is a wine that comes from vineyards in the town of Valtuille de Abajo located in clay-calcareous soils. It is made with a greater part of mencía with a small share of syrah and tempranillo, all harvested by hand. The grapes are fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and oak vats. The wine is aged for one year in French oak barrels.

Its deep aromas of blackberry are tinged with hints of chestnut, acorn and a floral background. On the palate it is silky, opulent and with a perfect balance between wood and grape tannins. It's very long and appetizing.
