Guitián Godello Fermentado en Barrica White wine
Elaboration of Guitián Godello Fermented in Barrel:
-Vendimia in boxes.
-Bashing- squeezing.
-Cold prefermentation maceration.
-Pressing in pneumatic press at low pressure.
-Static dewatering by cold at 8º C.
-Alcoholic fermentation in new 225-litre barrels (50% American oak, 50% fine-grained French oak).
- Aging on lees in 6-month-old barrels with weekly lees stirring.
-Filtered and bottled.
-Bottle ageing of at least 6 months.
Straw yellow with golden highlights and steel trim. Clean and very bright. Varietal character, high aromatic intensity and good fruit load (citrus, green apple) Expressive buttery and pastry aromas along with floral notes and hints of herbs from the bush. It shows a good entrance, spacious and elegant. It has an unctuous, silky gait. Wood not marked but which gives it complexity and structure. Good acidity, citrus, defined and integrated. Elegant final bitterness. It has a long and persistent finish.
