El Vínculo Red wine
El Enlace Reserva is a red wine with designation of origin from La Mancha, made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. It is aged for 18 months in American oak barrels and rested for 6 months in the bottle.
Area: 52 hectares.
Age: Average 50 years.
Soil: Mixture of sandy and clay throughout the ground.
Climate and harvest: Winter began with cold temperatures, but in February the trend began that would predominate for the rest of the year, with values in spring that continued to be well above usual, a summer dominated by episodes of extreme temperatures and a very warm autumn. Regarding rainfall, it was a very dry year, with records that remained at half of the average values. These circumstances caused a very early sprouting, due to the temperatures and a not very vigorous development of the plants, caused by the scarcity of water reserves. This resulted in plants with few bunches and small size, as well as grapes, conditions that positively influenced ripening. The cycle continued much earlier, causing the harvest to take place at very early dates, a harvest marked by a limited production in quantity but described as excellent.
Aging: 18 months in American oak barrels and 6 months resting in the bottle.
Garnet color with ruby rim, clean and shiny.
Deep aromas of black fruits mixed with licorice. Sweet notes of vanilla and roasted appear thanks to its aging in American oak barrels.
