El Perro Verde Magnum White wine
El Perro Verde is a white wine made from 100% Verdejo grapes. The grapes come from a vineyard with not very compact, loose soil, with a lot of stone and a high percentage of limestone. The climate of the area is continental with Atlantic influence. Rainfall is 300-500 mm per year, with an average of 2,544 hours of sunshine per year, an average temperature of 24.6ºC during the vegetative cycle and thermal oscillations during the ripening period ranging from 11ºC at night to 27ºC during the day. The grapes come 25% from Rodilana, 25% from Bobadilla del Campo and 50% from "El Sotillo" in Pozáldez. The vineyards – between 700 and 800 m – have planting densities ranging from 1,600 to 2,500 vines ha, are trained on trellises and with Guyot pruning, and yields range between 9,000 and 9,500 kg ha.
