Marqués de Murrieta Red wine
Vinification: The grapes are destalked and lightly in an fashion. The grapes are fermented separately in stainless steel, temperature controlled vats. The maceration lasts for 9 days during which there are continuous efforts of overpumping and 0ver, to favor the must contact with the skins and lead to a slow and natural extraction of aromas and polyphenols. After fermentation the solid parts of the grapes are pressed in vertical presses, using a soft and slow process that favors the extraction of colour and ripe tannins that reside in the skin.
Process of aging: 24 months in American oak of 225 litres.

Nose reveals a very elegant and complex, aromatic range first appear notes of black fruit jam (Blueberry and BlackBerry) along with spicy (pepper, bay leaf) and echoes dairy and cocoa. Later appreciate pleasant notes (leather and tobacco) reduction on a subtle smoky background.
Mouth confirms the elegance that reveals on the nose, being balanced and velvety, with a magnificent skeleton. The entrance is soft and enveloping, then deployed with amplitude. Good final persistence, featuring rich memories of fruit in liqueur.
