Alión Red wine

Alión was born next to the Douro, in the lineage of the Vega Sicilia, but with an independent and groundbreaking vocation. In fact, its philosophy and personality is clearly defined from the very moment of foundation of the wineries.

Already from its first steps, the aromas and flavors of a free, modern, attractive wine, with strength and exuberance, with the exclusive expression of the fine red variety, a concept radically different from that of the Sicilian vega tradition, begin to be traced. The grape has the character of the Douro, the aging is carried out exclusively in new French wood and also resorts to more modern oenological practices, so the result is radically different.

In short, Alión is an excellent wine, adapted to the international taste of the end of the millennium, cut by the pattern of a quality that does not understand borders, but always marked by the character and personality of the region that sees it born.

Dark cherry red with violet reflections. High layer, clean and shiny. Slightly tinted tear. Clean and very intense nose. Good balance between aromas of black and red fruit, ripe and pleasant toasted notes. Spicy nuances (vanilla, nutmeg, pepper), some good note of tobacco, soft hints of cocoa, a subtle mineral touch and light balsamic. Good tour with a great fruit load, in balance with the wood, very subtle, and with spicy memories. Tasty, fleshy and expressive step. Sweet and fine tannins, still somewhat drying. Good acidity that deepens and defines it. Long and very persistent finish.
