Alión Red wine
Alión is made up of a careful selection of terroirs spread over the best areas of the Ribera del Duero designation of origin. These soils that complement each other, together with the same viticulture that is done in Vega Sicilia, have given rise to wines with a firm structure.
Wine made from the fine red variety. It is harvested by hand in 12 kg boxes and immediately taken to the winery for entry into the selection tables. The fermentations are carried out in wooden tanks with temperature control until a good polyphenolic extraction is obtained that will provide the generous color and firm structure that constitute part of the personality of this wine; and finally, a step through wood and cement of between 12 and 14 months, depending on the characteristics of the vintage, is carried out entirely in new French oak Bordeaux barrels. These barrels from the most prestigious firms in Bordeaux represent an important investment in oak because, harvest after harvest, all the wine made in Alión will remain in new barrels that, after being abandoned for bottling, will no longer be used by the winery.
Once the wine is taken out of the barrels, it will remain no less than 15 months in the stillness of the bottle, where it will finish assembling all the primary aromas of the fruit with the nuances provided by its delicate aging, resulting in a fleshy, complex and intense wine, but in the
