Valdafoz Red wine
The grapes used to make Valdafoz wine come from a small vineyard of less than 1 hectare located in the town of Corullón.
This plot at an altitude of 700 meters has plants between 60 and 90 years old located on poor soils composed of slate and quartz.
The harvest was carried out manually, and the grapes were transferred to the winery where a selection of the best bunches and berries took place.
After pressing, the must ferments for 30 days in open wooden vats and then rests for 19 months in French oak barrels until bottling.
Clean and bright cherry red color. On the nose, ripe red and black fruits, pepper and floral notes, toasted wood, vanilla and liquorice. On the palate, wine with volume and good acidity, with powerful tannins and a fruity finish.
Red meat and big game, as well as traditional stews, stews and legumes.
