O Luar Do Sil sobre lías White wine

Founded in 2014 in the Orense town of Seadur, O Luar do Sil is the Galician project of the Rodero Villa family. His will and passion have been the engine of this new journey. # -

- # For a long time we have had the dream of making a white wine with our philosophy: we are looking for a special, complex and intense wine, with long aging. This search for the authentic has led us to the Galician designation of origin of Valdeorras. It is a small and traditional wine-growing area with very little treasure, the indigenous Godello variety.

Its river, the Sil, sculpts a valley in slate and granite soils, with a unique climate.

The unique conditions of Valdeorras make the godello provide us with subtle, mineral and fresh wines, with the complexity necessary to evolve over time.

We have consolidated this project with a winery in the town of Seadur, in Ourense, called O Luar do Sil as a particular tribute to its river and its magical Moon.

Vinification: Once the grapes are de-stemmed, they undergo a cold maceration below 8 degrees to obtain the maximum expression of the fruit. It is pressed at low pressure, racked to remove the thick lees and the must is fermented with selected yeast at a controlled temperature for 14 days in stainless steel tanks.
