Novilunio Mencía Red wine

Novilunio Mencía is a red wine from the Ribeira Sacra made with 100% Mencía grapes. The vines rest on granite and slate soils full of silts, sands and clays. This wine is made from a very low-yielding and traditional integrated viticulture, heroic on terraces. Harvested manually from selected bunches in 12 kg boxes, and fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature.

It stands out for its cherry red colour, with purple trim and medium-high layer. Its aroma is intense and clean, reminiscent of currants, berries, ripe fruit and a floral background with violets, with a marked personality. On the palate it is fresh, balanced and edgeless, with a long and complex step. It is distinguished by its elegance and complexity.

It is a good accompaniment to spicy fish stews, rice, cod, white meats, risottos and legumes.
