Las Jaras Vino ecológico
Las Jaras is a Village Wine, a blend of selected plots along the Jamuz Valley. Its name is due to the flower that predominates in the landscape, La Jara.It has a different profile from the rest, sweeter, due to the location of its vineyards, south of the valley, at a lower altitude, with more clayey soils and with a higher percentage of Prieto Picudo. These plots are the most accessible and close to the villages, and therefore they were kept in better condition over the years and the "faults" were planted with Prieto Picudo instead of the Mencía, which was more typical of the valley. The average age of the vineyard is around 70 years, since, although the last plantations date back to 1970, there is still a very high percentage of very old vineyards
