Comenge Biberius , is the youngest wine of Bodegas Comenge, in 2008 a young wine was made for the first time. Thinking about what to call him, they remembered the Emperor Tiberius, whom his troop nicknamed Biberius because of the passion he felt for the wines of these lands.

Since then, every year the grapes of the Tempranillo variety from the vineyards of Los Silos and Carrapiñel, both in Pesquera de Duero, are used to make it. Planted on limestone soils and cultivated under the principles and practices of organic farming, they offer us grapes of the highest aromatic intensity every year. Aged for 3 months in French oak barrels.

Comenge Biberius is a fun, lively wine. It shows a bright purplish color, with a high layer.

It has an intense aroma of cherries, raspberries, blueberries, elderberries, and has a discreet sensation of sweetness, the result of the good ripening of the grapes. Its brief ageing in oak gives this wide fruit ensemble hints of vanilla, chocolate and caramel.

On the palate it shows that charm of young wine. Its juicy acidity, fine tannins and medium body are well balanced, making it easy to drink. All its flavours are intensely appreciated: red fruits and creamy notes of oak, but also hints of scrubland and liquorice, providing excellent complexity to the whole.

Excellent to accompany tapas, white meats, charcuterie and cheeses.
