Las Lomas Red wine
The cycle of the vineyard in 2011 is marked by relatively dry with generally low temperatures which led to a budding and growth, albeit somewhat late, very healthy a winter and spring. The absence of frost in spring and late summer and the normalization of temperatures (strong contrast between day and night), in our area of Páramo allowed the fruit to acquire a full phenolic ripeness. Our viticulture is adapted to a vineyard of height, at 900 meters, ground limestone, being friendly with flora and fauna. Vintage is done manually, in box of 12 Kg, with a double choice of cluster, both in the vineyard and Winery. Fermentation and maceration, for twelve days, was carried out in stainless steel tanks, at low temperature to preserve the varietal aromas. Only the wine blossom goes to Las Lomas 2011. Breeding, in new 300 liters of toasting barrels, has been very slight (5 months) in order to respect the fruity character of the variety that characterizes the vintages that have reached their phenolic maturation. The result is a young tempranillo at its finest fruit that coexists with touches of vanilla and spices from the best French oak and mineral notes giving the chalky soil of Cuellar.
