Finca La Emperatriz - Cuvée Especial Red wine
Elaboration: Selection table. 100% destemmed and 40% crushed. The grapes ferment in concrete tanks. Tempranillo, Grenache and Viura are harvested at the same time, vatted in the same tank and cold-macerated for 5 days.
It ferments with indigenous yeasts and is made into light pump-overs once a day. After 20 days of post-fermentation maceration, it is devatted directly into barrels to make FML.
Aging: 18 months in barrels, 60% first-use French oak and 40% second-use American oak.
View: Cherry red color with maroon tones, looking bright and attractive to the eye.
Nose: It shows complexity and finesse, highlighting the aromas of red fruits in season along with spicy and floral notes and hints of fine woods and red liquorice.
Palate: It exhibits an excellent balance, being ample and tasty. Enjoy a sweet, enveloping, fresh and silky mid-palate, as well as a long and persistent finish.
