Morlanda Red wine
Discover the exquisite Morlanda red wine from the renowned Viticultors del Priorat winery, crafted in 2018. This exceptional wine is made from the Garnacha grape variety, showcasing the true essence of its terroir. With an alcohol content of 15%, it offers a bold yet balanced profile that is sure to captivate any wine enthusiast.
The grapes are meticulously harvested in small 16-kilogram boxes from the vineyard surrounding the winery. This close proximity allows for swift transport, minimizing oxidation and preventing any unwanted fermentation. After careful de-stemming and crushing, the grapes undergo fermentation in large 10,000-liter tanks, equipped with precise temperature control to maintain the ideal conditions between 25 and 28ºC.
Maceration lasts approximately 25 days, with the exact duration determined by daily tastings and analyses, ensuring each batch achieves its optimal flavor profile. After fermentation, the wine is transferred to oak barrels for malolactic fermentation, monitored daily for progress. Once complete, the wine ages gracefully for 12 months in French oak barrels, allowing it to develop depth and complexity.
